| Depp's Daughter Had E. Coli Virus |
 Johnny Depp's daughter Lily-Rose was lucky to survive a battle with the deadly E. coli virus, according to reports. The 7-year-old was hospitalized in London earlier this month suffering a mystery illness. It was reported at the time that she had contracted blood poisoning after stepping on a rusty nail. But a member of the production crew on Depp's new movie Sweeney Todd claims her kidneys were shut down by the virus, which is caught through infected food and drink. A source tells British newspaper The Sun, "Everyone gasped when we were given the real reason for Lily-Rose's illness. It was touch and go for a while." Filming on Sweeney Todd--directed by Tim Burton--was stalled while Depp and partner Vanessa Paradis kept a bedside vigil for Lily-Rose. It is due to resume next week. |

| Lohan Gets Candid in Rehab Interview |
 Lindsay Lohan conducted her most recent magazine expose via her handheld BlackBerry from rehab. The actress/singer posed for provocative GQ magazine photos late last year and then conducted the accompanying interview with reporter Marshall Sella from Los Angeles rehab clinic Wonderland. When quizzed about her love life, the Mean Girls star replied by e-mail from her BlackBerry, "I need a boyfriend... There are three different boys I like, maybe five." And she revealed she was making plans to settle down upon leaving the treatment center, and give up her wild life--after buying two puppy companions. She tells GQ, "I bought two puppies today. Sober impulse buying of companions who will help me stay home." Lohan has since checked out of Wonderland and is now working on a new movie. |

| Photographer: 'Reeves Ran Me Down Then Tried to Flee' |
 Keanu Reeves was handcuffed by police after allegedly running over a photographer attempting to flee the scene. The 42-year-old Matrix star has been accused of hitting Brazilian male paparazzo Alison Silva with his Porsche as he left a clinic in Torrance, California, on Tuesday night. Silva was later treated for a broken wrist and other injuries. According to reports, Reeves was handcuffed by cops but later released after he gave a statement. A police spokesman says, "Mr. Reeves said he was trying to pull away from the curb. As he pulled away, the photographer called out, 'Ah, my knee,' and Mr. Reeves pulled over." But Silva claims Reeves drove straight for him--and then tried to flee. He says, "I have never had anybody going after me like this--like he wanted to kill me. After I took his picture he was driving away from me. But then he turned around in a circle and drove straight at me. "The can bonnet hit me in the knees. I was lying in the street. Keanu kept saying, 'Oh, my God, what have I done?' "He was going away until he saw someone had seen the whole thing." Reeves will find out next week if he is to be charged. |

| Campbell Begins Community Service |
 Former supermodel Naomi Campbell began mopping floors at New York's Sanitation Department earlier today. The British beauty will perform cleaning duties for five days, after being ordered by a Manhattan judge earlier this year to undertake community service as punishment for throwing a cell phone at maid Ana Scolavino. Campbell has been allowed to perform her cleaning duties in private, in a bid to avoid the press furor that surrounded pop star Boy George's community service stint in the city last year. Despite being warned by sanitation boss Albert Durrell "not to wear heels" to work, Campbell arrived at the Lower East Side building at 8 a.m. in a pair of stiletto boots, although she was also carrying a pair of work shoes. |

| Lohan Fumes as DJ Set Is Interrupted by Snappers |
 Lindsay Lohan hurled obscenities at a nightclub crowd in New York on Thursday night when fans refused to stop taking photographs of the actress as she hosted a DJ set. The Mean Girls star, who recently underwent counseling to curb her wild ways, was DJing at Manhattan's Plumm nightclub when she lost her temper as fans kept 'flashing' her. Lohan turned off the music from the DJ booth and reportedly screamed at the snap-happy fans, "If I see one more f**king flashbulb go off, I'm going to stop the music and I'm out of here." Fans took her threat seriously and the rest of her DJ set went smoothly. It was a tense night for Lohan--she demanded club owners hire extra security to make sure her estranged father, who was released from prison earlier in the week after serving time for assault, didn't get access. Sources tell Web site TMZ.com that Lohan handed bouncers a photograph of her father, Michael, and told them to keep him out if he showed up. Upon his release from jail, Michael Lohan revealed he wanted to reconcile with his famous daughter. |

| Jolie and Pitt's Son Maddox Helps Welcome New Brother |
 Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's son Maddox welcomed his new brother into the family by holding the orphan's hand as he left the Vietnamese institute where he has grown up. Jolie and her 5-year-old son arrived at the Tam Binh orphanage outside Ho Chi Minh City, where the actress' new son has spent the last three years, earlier today after flying into Vietnam late on Wednesday. Mother and Maddox were greeted by approximately 20 children dressed in traditional Vietnamese tunics and offering flowers as they embarked on the final stages of the adoption procedure. Orphanage director Nguyen Van Trung insists Jolie has made a wise choice in the 3-and-a-half-year-old boy, whose name has been changed from Pham Quang Sang to Pax Thien by the actress. Van Trung says, "He's the smartest and cleverest among the kids." But the adoption almost hit a late hiccup, according to the orphanage boss: "I was a bit worried in the morning. When Sang saw Jolie and two of her big bodyguards, he moved back and cried. Jolie kneeled down and gradually went closer to him. It took about 20 minutes for her to reach him."
Van Trung added that "after Jolie made acquaintance with him, he cheered up and trusted her right away." Maddox also attempted to soothe his new brother by holding his hand. The orphanage director adds, "He was very friendly to Sang." |

| Lopez Refuses to Answer Porter Criticisms |
 Jennifer Lopez was unimpressed by a magazine interview with her ex-boyfriend Sean 'Diddy' Combs' current partner Kim Porter, declaring the former model's criticisms of her were "not necessary." Former model Porter dated the hip-hop mogul from 1994 and they had a son, Christian, together in 1997. However, Combs left her to date his musical protégé Lopez in 1999.
After his high-profile relationship with Lopez ended in February 2001, within two years he had reunited with his old flame Porter and they now have baby twin girls D'Lila and Jessie, who were born in December. In an October interview in Essence magazine, Porter blasted Combs' relationship with Lopez, declaring, "He fell for a booty and a smile," and admitted she used to tell the rapper he would return to her when he left "his little Puerto Rican girlfriend." Porter admitted she was in contact with Combs every day of his relationship with Lopez and forbade him from letting their son Christian associate with the Latina beauty.  Troubled pop star Britney Spears has reportedly fallen for a rock musician while she is in a rehabilitation facility, according to press reports. The 25-year-old has started dating a musician she met while attending Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meetings and reportedly plans to move in with him once she's finished her stint in rehab. According to the National Enquirer, the singer is dating Jason Filyaw, the 33-year-old lead guitarist for the rock band Riva. A source explains, "Britney adores Jason. He's been a tower of strength for her at the lowest point in her life. "She's convinced Jason can help her through rehab because as an alcoholic, he's been through the same thing."  A surveillance tape reportedly showing troubled pop star Britney Spears getting intimate with two female dancers at a New York club has become the latest hot property for Internet porn companies. The singer changed into fishnet stockings and a bikini while partying with dancers at nightclub One on Feb. 12--and things allegedly got steamy with the threesome. When a manager at the club discovered damaging video footage of the incident, the dancers were subsequently fired. A source tells the New York Daily News, "The manager said there was a tape of them. | Lohan's Father Released from Prison |
 Lindsay Lohan's father, Michael, was set to be released from a New York state prison today after more than two years behind bars. Michael was sentenced to serve time after surviving a fiery car crash on Long Island, where he was charged with driving under the influence. The former stockbroker, producer and actor has reportedly changed his ways and is now an ordained minister who wants to "make amends for his past mistakes." Before his prison stint, he was in the process of filming a reality TV series called Hollywood Dad and plans to resume shooting the show. The show's producer Brett Hudson explains, "Michael Lohan is a changed man. I've spoken to him often and I know it. "The last time around, Michael would never admit he'd done anything wrong. Now, he not only admits his past mistakes, but he wants to right the wrongs he's done. "And most of all he wants to get his family on track." | Snoop Arrested on Drug Charges |
 Swedish police arrested rapper Snoop Dogg on suspicion of using illegal narcotics in the early hours of this morning, before releasing him after questioning and drug tests. The "Beautiful" star had just performed a gig in Stockholm and was traveling to an after-show party when police pulled his car over at 1:30 a.m. Cops decided Snoop Dogg--real name Calvin Broadus--and a female companion showed signs of drug use and took the pair to a nearby police station. They were held overnight before being released this morning. A small amount of drugs were found in the car, although it is not yet clear what the drugs were or whom they belonged to. Police spokesman Matts Brannlund says, "He was deemed to be under the influence of narcotics. "He underwent some tests that will now be sent away for analysis. In two to three weeks, we'll know if he was on something." Sweden usually punishes minor drug offences with a fine. |

| Depp's Daughter 'Doing Much Better' |
 Johnny Depp's young daughter is "doing much better" after being struck down by an undisclosed illness, according to the star's representative. British newspaper Daily Mirror reported yesterday that Depp's seven-year-old daughter, Lily-Rose, had been rushed to an English hospital 10 days ago and the actor and his longtime partner, Vanessa Paradis, had been by her bedside every day. But, in a statement released by the actor's representative, Robin Baum, she says, "We are happy to report that their daughter is doing much better. "The family greatly appreciates the continued support and respect of their privacy." Depp has been filming a movie version of the stage musical Sweeney Todd in England. A representative from the studio adds, "We have adjusted the schedule to accommodate (Depp's) needs at this moment. We understand that (Lily-Rose) is improving.  The cause of death in the Anna Nicole Smith tragedy faces a fresh delay thanks to new evidence presented to the Florida medical examiner overseeing the investigation. Broward County examiner Dr. Joshua Perper has confirmed new findings could potentially change his conclusion about the cause of death. | Depp's Daughter 'Seriously Ill' |
 Johnny Depp's seven-year-old daughter Lily-Rose is seriously ill in an English hospital, according to British newspaper Daily Mirror. The Pirates of the Caribbean actor, 43, and his partner Vanessa Paradis, 34, are holding a vigil at the child's bedside after she was struck down by the undisclosed illness nine days ago. The Mirror claims it knows what medical condition Lily-Rose is suffering from, but have decided to withhold it from the press out of respect for the privacy of Depp's family. Depp had been filming Sweeney Todd in London and Buckinghamshire when his daughter was rushed to the hospital last week. A hospital source says, "He has not asked for any special favors but just wants the best for his child, like any parent. "It is such a difficult time for him but he is hanging in there for the sake of his daughter, and the whole family is just praying that she gets better. They are taking each day as it comes.  One of Elizabeth Hurley's many wedding parties in India was shut down by police in the early hours of Wednesday morning after local residents complained about the noise. Hurley and new husband Arun Nayar are celebrating their marriage--which took place in England last Friday--with a series of bashes and an Indian ceremony this week. The newlyweds celebrated their nuptials at Indian socialite Parmeshwar Godr's beachfront bungalow in Mumbai on Tuesday night, with guests including Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty and Pakistani cricketer Imran Khan. The party started at 10:30 p.m. and continued into the early hours of Wednesday morning, much to the displeasure of Godr's neighbors, who phoned the police. Mark Hatten, who is serving time for making terrorist threats against Smith and beating up her neighbor, has revealed the existence of the sex tape in recent correspondence with Smith's estranged mother Virgie Arthur.
In one letter to Arthur, obtained by Web site TMZ.com, Hatten urges her to find and destroy the tape, explaining his ex was "against pornography (hardcore)." Convicted Hatten believes the tape was among the items allegedly stolen from the home Smith shared with her companion Howard K. Stern on the day after she died. In other letters Hatten has written from prison, he also suggests he could be the father of Anna Nicole's baby daughter Dannielynn. Smith's ex started corresponding with her estranged mother late last year after she wrote to Hatten asking him to share memories of his time with Anna Nicole. |

 O.J. Simpson has hinted he could be the father of Anna Nicole Smith's baby daughter Dannielynn. Former football star Simpson--who appeared alongside Smith in the 1994 film Naked Gun 33 1/3--wants his name added to the list of possible dads, which already includes Larry Birkhead, Howard K. Stern and Frederic Von Anhalt. But the 59-year-old's paternity claim to a Caucasian baby--made to Norman Pardo, a videographer who documented Simpson between 2000 and 2005--appears to have been made in jest. Pardo tells PageSix.com, "(He) said he was throwing his hat into the ring. He said he knew Anna Nicole pretty well, and he said he had slow-moving sperm, and he might be the father." Simpson claims he doesn't want to be named as Dannielynn's dad so Fred Goldman--who is pursuing him for damages after winning a multimillion-dollar civil suit over the murder of his son Ron and Simpson's wife Nicole--can't make a claim over Smith's fortunes.  Troubled pop star Britney Spears reportedly believes she doesn't need treatment for drug or alcohol abuse because she is suffering from postpartum depression. The “Toxic” singer has been in rehab in Malibu, California, for two weeks and is furious with friends and family for making her seek counseling. A source tells Us Weekly magazine, "She's convinced she's suffering from postpartum depression and does not think she has an alcohol or drug problem. "She's angry at her family and her manager for pressuring her to enter the program. She feels she was ambushed." Spears checked in to Promises Residential Treatment Center on Feb. 21, after several months of hard partying. A source says doctors are still concerned about her condition, saying, "They're in shock at what bad shape she's in." The 25-year-old has reportedly not been on her best behavior at the facility.  Producer Timbaland and Britney Spears' former boyfriend Justin Timberlake want to help the troubled pop star resurrect her once-stellar career. Timbaland has approached Timberlake about working with Spears on a comeback project and her ex has agreed to lend a hand. The rapper and producer--real name Timothy Mosley--tells Entertainment Weekly magazine, "I feel her pain, it really bothers me. "I'm the type of person who tries to save the world.  Angelina Jolie is being fast-tracked through the Vietnamese adoption system so she can adopt a young boy there in May, according to a local official. Vu Duc Long, director of the Southeast Asian nation's Ministry of Justice's International Adoption Department, has confirmed Jolie's application has been speeded up because she chose the child during a previous visit to Ho Chi Minh City. He says, "She might receive her adoptive child in three months, one month earlier than the normal time frame for an adoption. "He is between four and five and now stays at the Tam Binh orphanage." The Tomb Raider actress filed papers through a U.S. adoption agency to take custody of the child three months ago. Jolie, her partner Brad Pitt and their family visited Vietnam in November in between filming A Mighty Heart in Pakistan. Jolie adopted Cambodian-born Maddox in 2002 and Ethiopian-born Zahara in 2005. She gave birth to Pitt's child Shiloh in Namibia last May. |

| Campbell to Clean? |
 Reformed supermodel Naomi Campbell will reportedly clean a public building in New York City as part of her community service punishment for attacking her maid. The British beauty pleaded guilty to assaulting Ana Scolavino in March 2006 in Manhattan Criminal Court in January and was sentenced to five days of community service. Under her sentencing, she was also ordered to pay Scolavino's medical expenses and attend anger management classes. The New York Daily News reports Campbell will sweep a city facility during the five days, just as fellow celebrity Boy George did on the streets of Manhattan last year following his conviction for wasting police time. Campbell's representative says, "Naomi is ready to report and complete her community service, no matter where or what she will be assigned." |

 Anna Nicole Smith's daughter Dannielynn is "doing fine" after the sudden death of her mother, according to the woman who has been looking after the baby since the model's death. Gerlene Gibson has been the baby's constant companion since Dannielynn was six weeks old and she was the person watching over her when Smith died on Feb. 8 in Florida. Gibson also looked after Dannielynn while her late mother was buried in the Bahamas on Friday, and now the mother of former Bahamian Immigration Minister Shane Gibson is letting fans know the six-month-old is being well looked after, amid all the fuss. She tells People magazine, "She is doing fine. She is growing. She's rolling over, and she's trying to pull herself up. She plays peek-a-boo. She likes all her toys. She has a bouncy seat." The baby is currently the subject of a custody battle in the Bahamas between Smith's companion Howard K. Stern, former boyfriend Larry Birkhead and Smith's mother Virgie Arthur. Gibson confirms the baby was asleep last week when her grandmother saw her for the first time, explaining, "When (Arthur) came she was very much asleep. She looked at her in the crib and that was it." Gibson adds that when she looks in the child's face she sees Smith looking back: "I can see Anna's smile. | Jolie to Adopt Young Male Orphan |
 Angelina Jolie is hoping to adopt a young Vietnamese boy, an adoption official has confirmed. Vu Duc Long, director of the Southeast Asian nation's Ministry of Justice's International Adoption Department, announced on Friday that the actress had filed papers through a U.S. adoption agency to take custody of a child. On Saturday, he released further information, confirming the child is a male and is younger than her current adopted son Maddox and older than her adopted daughter Zahara Marley and biological daughter Shiloh Nouvel. Long said, "She has made an application to adopt a boy aged between three and four years old and her paperwork will be processed according to the regulations like everyone else. "Normally it takes about four months to process an adoption request but if she has found the child, it could take much less." Sienna Miller is determined to carry on smoking, even though she accepts it may give her cancer and ultimately lead to her death. Despite having a history of cancer in her family, the 25-year insists she intends to avoid an early grave by smoking with a positive attitude. Miller explains, "I love them (cigarettes). Love them. I think the more positive approach you have to smoking, the less harmful it is. I know it's an irresponsible thing to say, but I do know people who are 86 and smoked 60 a day and died of old age and other people who smoked for two years and died of lung ancer at 40. So there is no formula. However, there is cancer in my family." |

| Nicole Richie Hospitalized |
 Socialite Nicole Richie was briefly hospitalized for dehydration on Friday after falling ill while filming the new season of her reality show The Simple Life. The 25-year-old was examined by a doctor on the set of the show and she was then taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. According to entertainment Web site E! Online, she was given intravenous fluids for 15 minutes and then released. After the incident, her representative said, "Nicole is home resting and will return to work this evening. We are proud of the weight that Nicole is gaining and her focus on her health."
Richie announced in October she was seeking treatment to help her gain weight. The upcoming season of The Simple Life features Richie and best friend Paris Hilton working as camp counselors. |

| Travolta Donates Money to Tornado Victims |
 John Travolta donated $15,000 to victims of a tornado in Florida at the premiere of his new biker film Wild Hogs on Friday night. The actor presented a personal check to Mayor Max Pullen of Lady Lake, Florida, where a string of tornadoes killed 21 people in the area on Feb. 2. Travolta, who has lived in nearby Ocala for four years, said, "These things happen in Florida and when they happen we all have to do something to help. "I just felt the time was right. We're promoting a movie. I think the best movie openings and promotions are when you can do it for charity and help people. I live here. These are my people." Pullen added, "This means a lot and helps lift the spirit of our people. When they know somebody as big a star as John Travolta cares about them, it makes a difference." The screening of the biker comedy raised an additional $15,000 and Ocala Mayor Randy Ewers presented the star with a key to the city. Wild Hogs, which features an ensemble cast including Tim Allen, William H. Macy and Martin Lawrence, also scored big at the box office over the weekend, taking in $38 million. |

 Anna Nicole Smith's companion Howard K. Stern is reportedly in secret talks with her former boyfriend Larry Birkhead to reach a settlement regarding the custody of her daughter Dannielynn. According to media reports, Stern is trying to negotiate a deal where he would continue to play a part in the five-month-old's life and oversee her finances. According to Fox News, Stern is working quickly to hammer out a deal before the results of DNA tests are released, which could reveal that Birkhead is the baby's biological father. Stern is also pressuring Birkhead to sign contracts with TV shows Entertainment Tonight and The Insider, in which the two would appear together for exclusive interviews. A source explains, "Howard wanted Larry to sign so that it looked like everyone was in agreement, and that it wasn't just Howard benefiting from these deals. "Larry said the baby's guardian (Richard Milstein) should sign the papers for him and the baby, but (Milstein) wouldn't. So then Larry wouldn't." | Celebrities Give Their Blessing to Hurley/Nayar Nuptials |
 A string of celebrities descended on the tiny Gloucestershire, England, village of Winchcombe to celebrate Elizabeth Hurley's wedding to Arun Nayar yesterday. The couple was secretly married at Sudeley castle on Friday, with just a few family members and close friends for witnesses, but guests including Elton John, Donatella Versace and supermodel Elle Macpherson were present on Saturday for a blessing and lavish marquee reception. Singer John made the biggest entrance, arriving by helicopter at the castle. However, Hurley's ex, Hugh Grant, was markedly absent in spite of reports he'd show up following his recent split from Jemima Khan. In all, around 90 guests crowded into St. Mary's Church on the grounds of the sprawling estate, while the rest observed the romantic service via a big screen in the nearby marquee. After the ceremony guests were treated to a four-course meal and bottles of vintage champagne. Hurley and Nayar will continue their celebrations in India later this week with a traditional Hindu ceremony followed by a 10-day honeymoon in the Seychelles. |

 Actress Brooke Shields has offered help to Britney Spears, amid reports the troubled singer is suffering from postpartum depression. Reports last week claimed Spears had been reading Shields' 2005 book, Down Came the Rain: My Journey Through Postpartum Depression, during her current stay in at the Promise rehab center in Malibu, California. Shields wrote the book after successfully conquering postpartum depression with the aid of counseling and the antidepressant Paxil following the birth of her first child, Rowan, in 2003. Shields tells TV show Access Hollywood, "I hope she's fine. I believe she's going to be fine, and she just needs the support and her kids. She's their only mom, and she'll earn that back in her own mind. "(If she is suffering from depression) then it really needs to be reckoned with, and it's very common, and she'll get through it. "If she is reading my book, I hope it's helping her. If it's not, and she wants to talk to someone, I'm available. She is followed every moment of her life, and she's documented every minute of her life." |

| Smith Finally Buried in the Bahamas |
 Anna Nicole Smith was buried in the Bahamas yesterday, three weeks after she died in a Florida hotel suite at the age of 39. The former Playboy Playmate was buried after a 90-minute church ceremony attended by 300 mourners. Her lawyer and companion Howard K. Stern spoke during the service and slammed her "so-called family members" and vowed to continue to protect Smith even in death. When Stern finished his speech inside Mount Horeb Baptist Church, his supporters stood and clapped. Smith's estranged mother, Virgie Arthur, was also at the service and had filed an emergency legal motion to stop the funeral earlier that morning in favor of a burial in Texas, which was denied. Smith's casket was carried down a red carpet into the chapel by six pallbearers, including former bodyguard Maurice "Big Moe" Brighthaupt, Houston police officer Troy Hollier, and her Los Angeles attorney Ron Rale. The church was decorated with pink and white roses and daisies and Smith's mahogany coffin was covered in a rhinestone-studded, pink-feathered blanket. Among mourners attended the service were Smith's former boyfriend Larry Birkhead, John James--a soap-opera actor who produced Smith's last movie--and Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash. After the funeral, the coffin was moved to Lake View cemetery, where she was buried in a tiara and custom-made beaded gown next to her son, Daniel, who died of drug-related causes in September. Dr. Joshua Perper, the Broward County medical examiner in charge of the case, is scheduled to announce the cause of Smith's death next week. |

| Spears Takes Break from Rehab for Shopping Spree |
 Troubled pop star Britney Spears left her rehab facility for the second time this week to pick up clothes she ordered from a posh Los Angeles boutique. Spears, 25, left the Promises Treatment Center in Malibu Thursday night accompanied by a driver and two bodyguards. Sources tell Us Weekly magazine that Spears has spent a lot of her time in rehab shopping at the online Web site for trendy boutique Intuition. A source at the store confirms, "She was emailing things that she saw on the site and wanted to buy." Intuition owner Jaye Hersh adds, "Britney is doing great. She's really happy. She loves the store. She wants to look better and knew that we would take care of her." The "Toxic" star went to an apartment in Culver City, California, where she met up with her cousin Alli, with whom she has been in close contact since seeking treatment. The pair emerged after 20 minutes and Spears returned to the car with a shopping bag from Intuition that appeared to be full of clothes. Spears, who has already left rehab facilities twice during treatment, made sure she was back at Promises by 9 p.m. |

| Rock Slams Break-Up Rumors |
 Funnyman Chris Rock is getting dead serious with media reports his marriage is in trouble. A day after his publicist denied New York news reports about a rumored break-up between Rock and his wife Malaak, the comic has launched his own attack on the publications who are running the incorrect reports. In a statement, Rock, who appeared on pal Oprah Winfrey's TV show on Wednesday with his wife and their two daughters, fumes, "Though we have tried in the past to take the high road and not comment on the tabloid media, we find it necessary to express on record how unfortunate it is that the Daily News, specifically, and other tabloid outlets have chosen to print untrue rumors and lies about our family and marriage. "It is extremely hurtful to us, our children, and our extended family. We remain, as always, very happy and committed to our marriage and the beautiful family that we have built."
