Miller Blames Tourette's Syndrome for 'S**Tsburgh' Comments |
British actress Sienna Miller has blamed a mild form of Tourette's syndrome for her string of foul-mouthed outbursts last year. The Factory Girl star--who sparked controversy recently by revealing she takes drugs because "they're fun"--famously upset Pittsburgh residents last October after drunkenly calling their city "S**tsburgh" during an interview. The 25-year-old insists the rants are the result of suffering from a form of Tourette's syndrome, a neurological disorder most often associated with the exclamation of obscene or derogatory remarks. She says, "These things just come out. I think it might be mild Tourette's, not to insult people who have proper Tourette's, but I will say the most inappropriate things at the most inappropriate time to the most inappropriate person. Always. Guaranteed." And Miller reveals she has a string of cheeky nicknames for other American states, explaining, "Massivetwos**ts is Massachusetts. Connecticu*t, or Connectibutt." Miller Loves Her Deadly Habit
Sienna Miller is determined to carry on smoking, even though she accepts it may give her cancer and ultimately lead to her death. Despite having a history of cancer in her family, the 25-year insists she intends to avoid an early grave by smoking with a positive attitude. Miller explains, "I love them (cigarettes). Love them. I think the more positive approach you have to smoking, the less harmful it is. I know it's an irresponsible thing to say, but I do know people who are 86 and smoked 60 a day and died of old age and other people who smoked for two years and died of lung ancer at 40. So there is no formula. However, there is cancer in my family." |
